Cole and Ruby

Cole's cousin Ruby came to visit tonight (she just lives down the street). She loves Cole and is so helpful with him. She brings him many toys to play with and tries to give him his nuk. Tonight we went upstiars to give Cole a bath. She got out all of his bath toys and made sure he had a duck floating by him at all times. She had her own washcloth and instead on having it filled with soap as she washed his belly... way too cute! She even rinsed the soap out of his hair without getting any water in his face... pretty good for a 2 year old. Then she picked out his PJ's and brushed his hair :) She really wanted to brush his teeth too! She even read him a bed time story while he had his "bed time snack." Cole just stares at his cousin Ruby while she reads him books... he just loves Ruby. Too much fun... can't wait to see the trouble they get into together as they grow up;)

We were back at the cabin this weekend. The weather was beautiful. One short thunderstorm on Saturday night that lasted maybe 5 minutes. We came home Sunday night to beat the traffic. Cole and I did lots of walking with grandma Wendy. We did our best to avoid the wood ticks, but they are everywhere. So far only mommy had wood ticks! Cole also got in on most of the weekend projects and even helped launch the pontoon boat and got a little dirty, haha. Gotta teach them early! He also got lots of Great-grandma time. He is such a good baby! He rides well in the car for the 2.5 hour drive (most of the time). He got his first life jacket, isn't he cute. He is even starting to smile more. Daddy gets more smiles than mommy... why is that? We are just enjoying being parents so much! I am counting down the days before I have to return to work :(

2 Months Old

Cole was 2 months old on Sunday! It is going way too fast. His doctors appointment today went well. He was 11lb 13oz. Up until now I have been feeding him 2 bottles a day of breast milk with extra calories added to it, because he was a preemie.... but the doctor says we can stop that now... yeah! He was in the 45-50% range for his height, weight, and head.... the doctor said he is doing just fine! He got 3 shots today, it was sad but he only cried for a minute. He did well most of the night, we went to cousin Ruby's dance program and he sleep through almost the whole thing. Ruby was the cutest kid out there, she sure did dance! When we got home Cole started screaming... like I have never heard him scream, like he was in pain. It was so sad I almost cried. I tried everything but he just kept crying. Poor guy. He finally cried himself to sleep after an hour or so. I hope the rest of the night goes okay. As soon as he wakes up he can have more Tylenol. I hated seeing him in pain :( It is amazing how much you can love your child.

Big Boy

Cole is such a good baby, but I do have to say now that he is considered "term" he has developed a little temper. He doesn't like his pacifier and if he wants to eat he lets you know! Now we can actually hear him cry. Last night we were at a Police Officer Memorial service and Cole decided to scream out in the middle. It was such a loud shriek everyone around us laughed. I think Jason's and my face turned red. Even though he still is a really good baby! Such a joy. And he even slept until 4-5AM the last 3 nights! Keep it up Cole...

Cole has his first night away from Mommy tomorrow.... he is going to Grandma Wendy's and Grandpa Chris's.... they are pretty excited. I am sure he will not be held or spoiled at all...hehe.

2 month doctors apt on Monday, stay tuned to hear the big weight in... any guesses. I think he will tip the scales at 11 maybe 12....?

Well off to pack Cole's bag for tomorrow and try to get in a walk with this lovely weather! Beretta was spayed 10 days ago and she got her staples out today, yeah! So she has been crying to go for a walk, I think she deserves one! Have a great weekend!

May 5th, Cole's Due Date!

Today is Cole's Due Date! Instead he will be 7 weeks tomorrow! Cole had another trip to the cabin last weekend with his Aunt Dana who is back from California. We took a long walk and he even had a short ride in the jeep! He is getting so big I just can't believe it. Dad did not go to the cabin because he had to work, when we came home he told Cole he thinks he grew another chin over the weekend! He is such a good little baby, my maternity leave is going WAY TO FAST :(

My Daddy loves John Deere

So I went in for my 6 week appointment. My doctor said I will definalty be a high risk pregnancy the next time, I said if there is a next time....

I put Cole on the scale with his clothes and diaper on... he was 9lb 14oz! He doesn't go back to the doctor until he is 2 months so we will get an accurate weight then. I swear he grows bigger overnight! He is just so much fun and such a good baby!
