Indoor Play Park

 On Cole's Birthday we went to an indoor play park.  Cousin Ruby came along and so did my friend Amy and her son Jacob.  Our friends from ECFE also met us there.  I knew I was doing a terrible job at taking pictures but I was extremely busy chasing the kids through this giant playground!  Thanks Amy for watching Rylin in the baby area most of the time!  The kids had fun and did really well!  I was so proud of them for listening so well since it was a little chaotic there with all of the other children!  I was so sweaty I considered it my workout for the day, like a giant obstical course with holes barely big enough for you to fit through, good times!  We will defiantly go back again some time :)  Edinborough Park is the name.

Cole's Birthday Party!

Dnnnnnnn, dnnnnnn BATMAN!

 Ruby is wearing Cole's other Batman mask, that one freaks me out!  I hate when he insist on wearing it in public, at least he has a new one to wear in public.  Aunt Melanie is so nice, she let him wear it to Costco, target, and McDonald's the other day!  What a lucky boy!

The food was good, the presents were great, the cake was AWESOME :).  I would say Cole had a very good day!  And he deserved it!  Love you monkey!

That stats are in from Cole's 3 year appointment.  I know Cole is not small, but the Dr's exact words were "He is a BBBIIIGGG kid!"

Weight:  35 pounds... 84 %
Height:  41 inches... 97%

Everything looked good.  They drew some labs due to the terrible leg pain Cole has been having.  I am pretty sure it's just growing pains... I mean would you look at the kid! ha, but just to be on the safe side they took some blood.  They tried to do a hearing and eye exam.  Cole wasn't quite getting it.  I thought he was starting to do okay, but they lady must have wanted to go to lunch so she wasn't very patient with him.  They said we can do it again next year.  And unfortunately he had to have a booster shot, I told him he wasn't going to have to have one so he wasn't very happy with me when they said he needed one.  He kept saying "Mommy, I am going to be really sad when they give me the shot. I don't like shots!"  For a kid who never cried for his shots when he was little and I wondered if he even felt pain, he sure cleared that up today!  He cried like a baby.  Big sobs... it was pretty sad :(  And now he is crawling around the house... yes crawling, because he thinks he can't use his leg!!!  It hurts too much he says.  Time for some magic Tylenol!  Can't believe our next check-up will be when he is 4!  Where does the time go?  He keeps saying, "Mommy, don't be sad, I will stay little for you."  So now I have been telling him how happy I am he is such a good big boy. So now he says "You will be happy when I am bigger?"  He is just so sweet! (At least when he's in a good mood!)

Happy Birthday Cole!

Happy Birthday to our sweet Monkey!  We love you so much!  As sad as we are to see you grow so big, we are so happy to see the sweet boy you have become.  You are so caring to your sister.  You occasionally like to be cuddled and will even give kisses if we are lucky :)  You are all boy and run around like crazy playing any boy game we will play with you, especially batman!  We love you Cole! Thanks for being such a great boy!

Rylin's imaginary gum

Often times Rylin walks around the house making smacking noises.  We figured out she is imitating Cole chewing gum.  So if he gets gum she pretends she has gum.  It's pretty funny she makes smacking noises and sticks her tongue out while doing it.  This video doesn't do it justice, but you get the idea.  She is my little ham!

Naked Party

 When we are home Cole likes to be naked.  Not sure where he gets this from because we DO NOT run around naked.  It's actaully a little annoying, you turn around and he has all of his clothes off.  Well little Miss Rylin has to copy everything her brother does, so she usually can get everything off down to her onsie!  That was until last night when Cole has been helping her get her onsie and diaper off!  So they are both truley having a naked party.  Still not sure how this all started.  But Mommy has been trying to put an end to it!  Don't tell them, but it's pretty funny when they run around naked yelling "naked party!" But these naked parties happening 2 or more times a day are getting a little annoying, especially just after you dress them and are ready to leave the house and turn around and they are both naked! UGH!

Fun at Panera

Rylin, Jacob, and Cole

The little guy on the Right is my friend Amy's baby.  Well not really a baby anymore, Jacob was 1 a few weeks ago.  We met at Panera for lunch the other day.  The kids LOVED the mac and cheese (so did Mommy!) and they were very well behaved.  And I think the other people eating lunch there enjoyed the kids too :)

Swim lessons

 Of course Cole's last swim lesson went perfect!  He was so happy and did everything the teacher asked of him.  Such a nice change from the last 5 that he cried through.  Despite the crying he still passed and is moving on to Pike... but I think we will take a little break before we go to the next level, mommy needs a break for sure!

Cole's Funny Phrases, Part 2:

Cole: "Mommy slow down! Daddy's going to pull you over and give you a ticket!  You will go to jail!"

Cole talking to Gramma Peg: "Gramma and Rylin don't touch my gun, it's dangerous!" (at least he listen's, somewhat!)

Cole: "I want the car to break down so the tow truck can come get us." (really!?!?)

Jason to Cole: "Cole, don't point your gun at people."  Cole: "Why dad?  You point your gun at bad guys."

Cole: "Dad you go to work and make some money so you can buy me more toys!"

Cole: "Mom why aren't your eyes blue and Rylin's are blue?"

Cole: " Mom, I have hair on my legs and hair on my armpits, I am a big boy now!" (PS-he doesn't really have hair on his armpits yet!)

Mommy:  "Cole I think you should go take a nap." Cole:  "I'm not tired, see, I am not even yawning yet."

Cole's 3 famous responses when he is in trouble: "Roar!" (yes he roars at us!  Guess it's better than hitting)  "I'm mad at you, I am being mad!"  "Your being naughty!"
