The Easter Bunny!

Thank goodness the Easter Bunny is flexible (and Santa too!), because we had to ask him to come a little early this year due to mine and Jason's work schedule.  He was very punctual to come during our nap time last Thursday!  The kids woke up to Easter eggs all over the house and baskets to be found.  They sure had fun and it was so fun to watch them.  Rylin was totally into it, but still Cole would stop to help her find eggs :)  They both had full baskets by the end.

Finding eggs

She got these Rain Boots from the Easter bunny and is obsessed with them!  She wants to wear them everywhere even though they are  size to big and she can barely walk in them!

The Egg Hunt

Last week I took Cole, Rylin, and Ruby to an outdoor Easter egg hunt with the Easter bunny.  It was at the Christmas tree farm by our house.  The place was PACKED!  So when they let the kids go to get eggs of course they all ran in front of my kids and we ended up only getting 3 eggs.  Cole got 1 (and only because I was holding a tree branch up for him to get it and this older kid came and grabbed it and I told him to drop it, gosh I am harsh, but the area we were in said 3 TO 5 YEAR OLDS!)  Sorry, moving on.  Ruby found 2 and graciously shared one with Rylin :)  Even though the hunt was kind of a bust, the kids still had fun getting their faced painted, seeing the Easter bunny, and playing on some barrel tube things!

Dying eggs on Good Friday

Last Friday we dyed eggs with our friends.  Above is Abby and Rylin.
Below is Cole, Amy and Jacob.

Crissy and Drew are in this picture.  Thanks Crissy for hosting at your house!

Playdate/ Welcome baby Benjamin!

We went to visit my co-worker/friend last week and meet her new baby boy.
The time went fast and the kids had a blast playing!  Thanks Stef for having us over!

Anna and Cole, don't they make a cute couple? :)

Heart Rate Monitor

Oh yeah- does anyone have a heart rate monitor?  If so what kind and do you like it?  Thinking about getting one, but I don't know the first thing about them!

Plant or weeds?

So last year for Rylin's birthday one of her cards was a card made of wildflowers and such.  It said to soak the card in water and then plant it in black dirt.  Well we all know I have such a green (black!) thumb so I went out to where Jason had had some black dirt piled down in the ditch and used the dirt to plant the card pieces in this pot.  It started to grow small green things fairly quick but they stayed very small for most of the winter.  In the last month it has been growing like crazy... but Jason thinks it's weeds!  Is it sad that I don't care if it's weeds or not??? I like that it's green and has small flowers... weeds...whatever :)  Note to self: probably not the best dirt to use for planting flowers.  Any plant experts out there?

It's begun... "Mommy can we go outside? PLEASE!?" (about every 5 minutes)

Being shy, she does this sometimes when I try to take her picture, turns her head to the side.

First wipe out of the season

"mommy"

All better, back to play.

Watch out!

 They both LOVE the swings!

I was looking for the person who stepped in dog poop.  "Rylin show me the bottom of your shoes."  Not her :)
