Lime Thunder Soccer!

7 weeks- 2 nights per week and soccer is over :( bitter sweet- the coaching was getting to be a lot. But now that it's over I will miss it. Cole did really well and blossomed into a great player. He did score lots of goals, but was voted best defender by his team. At times he was a little over aggressive and slide for the ball! Hopefully he will keep that aggression for next year :) rylin was a little less into soccer. She maybe touched the ball 10 times all season and most of those were by default (the ball was kicked right at her legs!). Maybe next year she will come out of her shell a little!

48 hours without technology

Well I did it. I survived! 48 hours without my phone or iPad. The kids also survived with me. No TV, iPad or anything... And that included a 6 hour drive! It was refreshing. I love my job, but I am addicted to constantly checking my work email on my phone and responding... So nice to have a break! Facebook gets to me sometimes too because I feel the need to try to keep up with what everyone posts. I feel bad missing out, but life's too short. And text messages... I am always right there to respond. So the moral of my weekend... I had some really nice quality time with my kids and I am going to continue to try to take time away from my phone. Especially when I am with them! The funny thing is I had NO clue what time it was all weekend! No clue when we went to bed or got up. Ate meals. It was a whole new way of life. But it worked out well and we really enjoyed our weekend. So as much as my phone is like my life line and I love it dearly.. A little break once and a while is good for the soul!

Cass Lake Fun!

We joined my friend Steph and her kids at Cass lake this weekend. It was so much fun and the kids had a blast! Fires, 4 wheelers, fishing, swimming, tabata by the lake, and great food. Our friend Melany even surprised us on Saturday. It was a great weekend all around!

First swimming wrist band!

Cole got his first swimming band at the YMCA! He had to float on his front and back for 5 seconds each. So nice because then he can swim on his own and I can sit in the hot tub! My little guys growing up! :)
