Slide

Rylin's first time down one of the slides... She wasn't so sure about it that time, but the next 5 times she went by herself!

Cole flips :)

Pump it up video

Rylin is in the light blue sweater. Cole is wearing the camouflage t-shirt.

Pump it up!

On Wednesday I took the kids to Pump It Up. It's like and indoor park made of all inflatable stuff. Giant slides, obstacle courses, jump houses, all kinds of fun stuff. Well the kids LOVED it! Cole was a maniac!!!!! Rylin was a little shy at first and would only go in the jump houses, but by the end she was climbing up by herself and going down the big slide.  I have to say I was impressed, it was a great time! See the video's for more entertainment and flips from Cole :)

Monster Jam Part 2

Well that was fun! Kids had a blast. Rylin was a little scared at the beginning but she warmed up fast. She only had one tantrum and the best part was it's so loud in there no one could even hear her :) Cole loved every minute and had his big eyes on most of the time. They really are at such a fun age! Highlights of the day: I almost caught a t-shirt, but I had my iPhone in one hand and wasn't very coordinate to catch it with only one hand. They shoot them out of a gun so it had a little more force behind it then I expected ;) I was a little bummed, Cole would have loved it :( And I was the one who made him stand up and wave at the truck, I never expected them to shoot it our way, let alone straight at me! Ha. Our other favorite part was the metrodome doors going in and out. The huge wind gust was hilarious! On the way in Rylin and I were stuck in between for a while, she thought it was funny! The way out was like a popcorn shower from everyones half eaten popcorn buckets as they walked out... You probably had to be there, ha! Anyways it was some good family time well enjoyed tonight :) And Cole is already talking about the blue monster truck he is going to drive and the dirt snowmobile... Great! Working our way outta down town... Hope to be in my bed shortly!

Monster Jam Part 1

MIA

I know I haven't updated for a while.  I think I have been MIA from the whole blogging world.  My excuse?  Nada.  I have no reason.  Just life.  Here's the updates:

Cole had his ENT apt, his ears are still filled with fluid.  The right is worse.  Which means he will have his adenoids taken out and tubes put in in the next few weeks.  Poor boy :(  Hopefully it will help him to hear better!

Both kids are in swim lesson's.  I enrolled Rylin in a 3 year old class... shhh don't tell she's not 3.  I just didn't want to do a parent/child swim class with her.  Selfish I know, but I knew she would to better on her own.  I can't even use not getting in a suit as my excuse because I watch both their swim lessons at the same time from the hot tub :)  My 30 minutes of relaxation for the week!  And they are both doing wonderful!  Cole is a swimming fish, underwater and all and Rylin is getting pretty good herself.  They love to swim which makes Mommy happy and proud :)

Been working on cleaning/decluttering the house.  New years resolution remember?  We'll my goal is to be done by spring.  I know you can call me a dork now, but it feels great!  I am almost done with the top 2 floors.  The dreaded basement will be last!  Ugh.  Might be my Feb project :)

Monster truck show with the kids tonight.  They are so EXCITED!  I can't wait to take them.  Nice little family outing it will be.

Signed both the kids up for preschool next year.  I will be driving one of them to school every day of the week!  UGH.  I am just dreading it!  Cole loves preschool now and Rylin is super excited to start next fall. I guess that's what I get for having my kids so close in age, ha!  The only stipulation is she needs to be potty trained.  We have plenty of time, but that might need to be my March project... or before!  We'll see.  At least she does have interest.

Well that's all I can think of for now... Hope your having a great weekend!  Cheers to loud Monster Trucks tonight!

Wizard of Oz

The kids and I went to the Wizard of Oz play at the Children's Theater on Saturday with Aunt Melanie and Ruby. It was fabulous! Cole LOVED it! He sat on the edge of his seat smiling almost the whole time. The witch and a real todo dog were his favorite :) Rylin on the other hand was not so thrilled. I am happy to report she didn't have any screaming melt down tantrums, however she didn't really enjoy herself :( She was shaking like a leaf for most of the play and asked over and over to go home and be all done.  She was thrilled at intermission because she thought it was over! Ha. She was a good sport and went back in, but was delighted to walk out ob her own when it was finally done. Poor thing.  The kids did leave with a stuffed animal todo keep sake which they think is pretty cool!  And we topped it off with lunch at olive garden... Yummy!  Thanks Aunt Melanie and Ruby for the awesome day!

Coloring in the lines by Cole :)

The YMCA daycare said Cole worked very long and hard on this picture :)  It's even in color!

Cole's favorite colors. Brown and black! I can barely get him to color in anything else!

New Years Resolutions 2012...

These are kind of boring... and more for me to look back on :)  In no particular order:

1) To get a responsible babysitter that can drive to our house :)
2) Eat more vegetables... better/healthier foods in general.
3) Eat less food.  My food calorie intake can be a little out of control at times, I have a BIG appetite and little will power to yummy foods.  I am getting better slowly... (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ is helping)
4) Weight goes along with less food... I would like to be down 5-10lbs.
5) Work out consistently... which I have been pretty good at doing.  I want to make sure I keep it up, I love the Y and the workout feels great!  I do a muscle class 2 days a week.  I like to try to get to 1-2 core classes a week.  And cardio the rest of the days.
6) Organize and de-clutter the house... I love organizing!
7) Maybe get a new financial planner...
8) The most important... Family time!  The kids are really growing too fast.  I want some cell phone free, uninterrupted, fun times with the kids/family.  Doesn't have to be anything special.  Just undivided attention, special time for us!  And maybe a family vacation ;)
9) Date night with my husband... goal: Once a month
10) Pay off my car

Wishing you all a safe and happy 2012!
