Happy Birthday Beretta!

Beretta is 3 years old today! We gave her some ice cream and dog treats and sang her "Happy Birthday"... pathetic I know but she is our other baby! By the way Cole said his first word... "woof." We ask him what the puppy says and he says "woof" or "woof, woof". Of course it was not Mommy or Daddy, but maybe those will be next.

PS I can not wait for Cole to start walking... he is like a human mop collecting all of Beretta's dog hair as he crawls around the house. We vacuum on average once a day and he still collects dog hair all time. It is sad when your 10 month old knows what do do with a lint brush and will stand still while you vacuum him off! :) We still love you Beretta!

Playing...

Cole's new music table. He just loves it!

Baby Grady and Cole. One of my co-workers new baby!

How cute.

Haha... this is Cole's favorite toy! He carries it everywhere. It is suppose to have colored wodden rings on it, but he just likes the base of it. He goes crazy to find it in the morning. Silly boy!

10 Months!

Cole is 10 months now! He loves to play with Beretta and her toys. He can walk around the coffee table and end tables and take a step to the couch. He can stand for short periods of time on his own. He climbs up on every peice of furniture that he can. He still army crawls on his belly... looks more like swimming since his arms and legs move the way they should, he just doesn't get that belly off the ground. He throws a fit if you take away something he is playing with or move him from a place he is not suppose to be. His favorite thing to do is hold your hands and walk around the house (it gets old fast). He loves taking baths. He eats anything you give him (except for when he is sick). He is getting really good at finger foods and chewing. He has 4 teeth, 2 on top, 2 on the bottom. He likes formula from a bottle better than breast milk... so we have to trick him and mix it half and half ;) He may be starting to like Mommy more than Daddy, or at least when he is tired. He loves to ride his new dump truck and can get across the house pretty fast, we have only had a few rollover incidences :) He continues to be a very happy baby! He is very fast and into everything! And yes he is feeling better... finally after 6 days of diarrhea. We are hoping it is gone, none yet today!

blah

Even worse then taking care of a sick child is trying to take care of a sick child while you have the flu! Jason and I both came down with the horrible GI flu yesterday morning. Between throwing up every 20 minutes and being completely layed out in between we were in no shape to take care of our child. Grandpa Chris came to the rescue and took Cole for the day (Grandpa Chris had been sick with this last Sat so we knew Cole shouldn't be able to give it back to him). Thanks Grandpa Chris we owe you for having to change/bathe Cole multiple times! Those diapers really should be able to hold diarrhea, Cole has probably had 15 baths in the last 3 days. Poor guy. He still is in good spirits, but doesn't really want to eat any food, but thank god he is still drinking his bottles and some pedialyte so we are keeping the fluids in him. I don't even want to know what his weight loss will be. Thanks Grandma Wendy and Grandma Peg for dropping needed groceries at our door step :) Jason and I are functioning enough today to at least be able to take care of our child... we might even shower today :) Anyways Cole was suppose to be baptised tomorrow, but we have postponed it for now as we don't want him to poop all over the pastor tomorrow! Hopefully we will be on the mends now!

The Flu :(

If there is one thing I dreaded as a parent it is taking care of a sick child. I know I am a nurse and all, but I do not do well with vomiting/diarrhea illnesses in children. I get stomach ache my self and almost can't function. So I have avoided it for almost 10 months... it was going to happen sooner or later, but Cole has the flu! He puked last night and has had diarrhea since last night. Knock on wood it could be worse, he doesn't have a fever and is still able to drink his milk and still has small wet diapers. I feel so bad for him. Of course this is my week off, today was suppose to be our first day back to ECFE, but I guess that's what happens when you have kids! We're off to take another nap. Stay warm and healthy!

Just like Daddy

Cole is already obsessed with the vacuum, just like Daddy. If the vacuum is on the floor that is the first place he crawls to and he drags around the end of it. Can't wait until he is old enough to use it, haha. Yes that is a bruise on his head... he got in a fight with the stool... the stool won. This video is taken from the new video camera we got for Christmas, I finally figured out how to put the videos on the computer :) Gotta run, Cole is dragging the vacuum around the house again!

I'm stuck...

These are pictures of Cole playing on the bed while I was trying to get ready. I was sitting right there so he didn't fall off the bed, but some how he managed to get himself stuck. It was pretty funny, even he was laughing.

Christmas pics...

I know Christmas is over, but here are the pics I never got around to posting...
Santa on Christmas Eve... Cole was not so fond of him this time.

Cole got all kids of great presents including some really cool bibs with sleeves (handmade by Grandma Peg)!. Both G and G Curtis and G and G Weegman got him the same gift! Great minds must think alike :) It is a drivable/walker/wagon dump truck... once it is assembled I will get some pics.

Cole more interested in the drawer than all of his presents.

The nuk in his mouth kept him from eating all of the paper :)

Army Crawl...

This is from a few weeks ago, but you get the point. Cole is fast and all over the place and into everything! Still not getting his belly off the ground, pretty sure he may never. He will probably go straight to walking! His favorite things to do are unplug the CO2 detector and climb up and dump the dog's water dish out of it's holder. He still is a Daddy's boy and will follow him everywhere!

Where has the time gone?

These are pics from before Christmas when G and G Weegman took Cole swimming at the YMCA. He had a blast and thought it was really cool to crawl in the water!
