Happy Thanksgiving!

I've been lacking in the photo department! I hope everyone had a nice thanksgiving! We celebrated 3 times and had 3 very nice meals! I am turkeyed out! Once at our house with the curtis, at the weegman's side, and at the cabin this weekend. On a sad note, we lost a fish on wed... Spidey went to fish heaven :( The kids and I all cried and we had a "flushing" ceremony with a prayer. Cole said he can't figure out why the fish died because he didn't even touch him... Poor boy. We will probably get another and hope for better luck! I also got a little shopping done... On line that is! Don't think I could handle the black Friday crowds, but the on-line prices were nice! And my Christmas cards are ordered, they turned out okay. So hopefully you'll be seeing those within a week :) Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend... Here's a picture of the kids coloring at the cabin. One more day off! Then back to reality... And the rush of the holiday season! I just love the Christmas lights popping up everywhere /)

Our new fish friends!

We got pet goldfish! Spidey and Tink. Aka: Spiderman and Tinker bell. So original don't you think? Ha. Spidey is the orange one and Tink is the pink one. The kids are loving their new fish... They say good morning, good night, and tell them everything in between! Cole keeps asking if they died yet. Not sure if this is coming from our duck experience or because I asked the lady at the pet store how long they will live for. Hopefully they live for a little while! I did catch Cole with his hands in the fish bowl, not in the act but afterwards with wet hands. His response, "I was just giving the fish a little tickle." Not so sure I believe that... Ha!

Jealous of Babies????

Me... yeck no!  I am so excited for all of my friends and family who are having babies and I won't have a tinny one myself so I can really love theirs up!  But Cole is...he really wants another baby.  He actually told Gramma Peg yesterday that HE has a tinny baby growing in MY belly.  No I am not prego!  He is so obsessed with babies I almost wish I was pregnant.  Almost ;)  He is concerned if we have clothing, paicfiers, diapers, blankets, bottles, bed, baby food, toys... and so much more for our non-existent baby.  He even wants it to sleep in his room!  It really is starting to make me a little sad.  I think it's all coming from our excitment and anticipation of Todd and Mealnie's baby BOY!  Who Cole is calling "Max" because that's what Ruby told him, or so he says :)  He actually cried at nap time yesterday because his tinny baby doesn't have a name (uh the baby that doesn't exist).  I feel like I am breaking his heart... poor sweet boy.  We also addopted (aka buy presents for) a 5 month old baby girl for the holidays.  She is a ward of the state currently.  Cole knows she may have parents, but she is not with them because they were not nice to the baby (I don't really know any of the story, but that's what I told him).  So anyways now he wants the baby to come live with us because we are "nice people, right mom?"  He is so darn cute I just love it.  Anyways we spend a lot of our days talking about babies and how to care for them.  He is going to make a good babysitter some day :)  And both kids are very excited to help out with cousin "Max".  FYI: Pretty sure his name will not be Max :)  There will be many babies in his life soon from friends and families and I am very excited for the first one to be born so Cole can get this baby "itch" out of his system! Ha.  Yea to babies!

What an awesome Harry Potter party Ruby had yesterday! The kids had a blast! Cake and food were delicious! Capes, glasses, and wands! Wow was it fun!!!!!

Happy 80th Birthday Grandpa Miller!

The kids and I and grandma wendy made a trip to the cabin this weekend. Lots of hunters on the road, obviously!  So we stayed out of the woods this weekend. On Saturday night we had a delicious steak dinner followed up with triple chocolate cake! It was delicious, Cole ate 2 pieces and wanted more! That kid eats like a horse! For dinner he had 2 hot dogs, half of my steak, vegetables, and 3 helpings of cheesy potatoes, 2 pieces of french bread! Followed up by the 2 pieces of cake and ice cream! The last picture is cole asking for a third "huge" piece of cake showing with his hands the size he wants! I was afraid if he ate anymore he would throw up so i had to say no :(That boy can eat! And he had another piece with breakfast, ha! Rylin started bawling when we sang happy birthday... Not sure what caused that, but she insisted on singing it again herself! She is one determined 2 year old! Happy 80th birthday great gumpa!!!!

Minnesota Zoo with Amy and Jacob. What a fun day! And perfect weather with no crowds! Couldn't have been better. We even caught the shark feeding and dolphin show! Thanks for the great company Amy and Jacob!

Fall Fun

I must admit... I used to love halloween, when I was like 7.  Then for a long time I didn't really care for it.  A) I don't like being scared! B) Candy is a weakness of mine C) It means the cold times have arrived.  But in the last few years I have found a new appreication for the holiday and all of the fun fall events associated with it.  I am acually a little sad that it's over.  The weather for trick or treating last nigh was perfect, the kids had a blast and each came home with a full bag of candy.  Yipee! ;)  We went to my parents neighborhood for the festives, Ruby joined us and we met up with 2 of my high school friend's families. It was a very enjoyable evening!

Now onto the candy situation.  My kids are obsessed!  Every moment of the day they want to know when they are getting their next peice.  I really hope this calms down as it's getting very annoying!  Rylin has already had many tantrums due to candy, or not getting any!  On the other hand it works great for disipline, I threaten to throw it away!  And that just might end up happening :)

The other day Cole "snuck" a piece of candy even though I told him he could not!  When I came down from putting Rylin down from a nap he told me he had took one.  I said Cole that was very naughty, you went behind mommy's back and ate some candy after I told you you couldn't have any.  He said no, but mom, I ate it in the closet, not behind your back!  HAHA.  This boy!
