"uh-oh"

Cole has a new vroom vroom to ride at Grandma and Bumpa's house. It's actually very used, but a great find. The battery doesn't work so dad rigged one that works in there for now. Boy does it go fast, but Cole does really well with it! He LOVES the thing! Can't wait to get him on video!

The kids went down town with me today to vote for the nurses. My stomach is in knots and I wish that it would be all over soon! Afterwards some of my co-workers and I went to the Como Zoo with the kids. Cole loved all of the animals, especially the giraffe and seals.

I keep forgetting to post about Rylin's first word! She says "uh-oh", all of the time. She drops her things on the floor and says "uh-oh" over and over. At first I didn't think she was doing anything but mimicking, but now she says it on her own. It really is so cute!

Cole's First trip to the ER

Rylin:
Still moving all over the place, but starting to coordinate her crawl. A lot of the time she is on hands and feet with her butt in the air, little monkey! Still cries most of the time if you are not holding her or right next to her. She is a very needy baby... sorry Rylin, just being honest :) She loves food and is working on eating real food and feeding herself. She can't get enough of whatever you give her, just gobbles it up! I am officially done nursing her. It's bitter sweet. I have been pregnant or nursing for 2 3/4 years straight! I am ready to have my body back. She has a small amount of frozen breast milk left that we only give her at night now. But when you are holding her or near she is the happiest baby ever! Still a very good sleeper at night, thank god!

Cole:
Talking up a storm! We can understand most of it. LOVES to be outside! Loves to ride/see anything that has a motor! Can pedel his bike with training wheels now. Went for a 3 mile bike ride Saturday... on the radio flyer bike, the one you push with your feet! He has some crazy energy. Sadly Saturday night he spiked a temp and puked for the first time Sunday morning! He threw up (in a bucket) and then just kept saying "Sorry mommy, sorry mommy." Poor boy, I told him there was nothing to be sorry about. Later on he threw up while sitting outside on his bike. He just started crying "clean up, clean up" to the puke on his bike. He threw up probably 5 times that day. Poor guy. He was pretty down and out and would not eat or drink anything. He had only had 2 wet diapers all day so we ended up bringing him down to children's ER in MPLS at 5pm yesterday to make sure he was not too dehydrated. He usually runs a high fever when he is sick. But yesterday it was 103-104 with rectal Tylenol. Poor guy! The ER Dr was not concerned about the temp though, more the dehydration and lack of wet diapers. So they said if he didn't drink some fluids they would have to start an IV. Of course when we got there he drank half an apple juice and had a wet diaper so we got to go home, yeah! As soon as we got home his temp was back to 103.5 and he was refusing to drink anything and just wanted to go to bed. So we put him to bed and I woke him at 3am to give him more Tylenol, but he felt cooler then so I skipped the does and he was normal temp this morning back to bouncing off the walls! It was so hard to see him sick yesterday, just lying around, pains in his tummy. Glad he is back to normal. Now if we can just keep Rylin and the rest of us from getting it :)

MNA Rally

So you have probably seen on the news there is a good chance the nurses may strike on June 1st. Today at Mercy there was an informational rally that the kids and I went to. It was actually pretty fun and nice to show our support for all of the nurses. I really hope the union and hospitals can reach an agreement because I really do not want to strike!

The stroller gang :)

Cute Gabby with her sign, it says "Nurses Unite"
