Happy New Year!

Cole and I just came in from a little night walk out side... His idea!  It was cold but fun!  We ran around in the snow and chased Beretta around.  Now we are headed up to watch a movie in bed.  Enjoy your New Year!  We wish you a safe, happy 2011!

Sledding and Skating at the Pit

On Wednesday night I took the kids sledding at the pit with the help of our babysitter Carrie.  It was a perfect winter night and there were lots of people there.  The kids had a blast!  When we got there I was a little nervous because the hill was a lot bigger than I remembered.  Of course it was night so I couldn't get a picture of how big it was, but it was pretty steep!  Even though we were nervous to take the kids down they loved the speed and wanted to go again and again!  We also took Cole skating.  He has been BEGGING to go.  I laced him up and turned around to put on my skates, when I turned back he was already out skating (marching)!  He did very well despite the fact that he fell like 100 times and every time I tried to help him he would get frustrated and cry!  So we just kind of let him do his own thing and he did a great job!  He would skate a little, fall, get back up all on his own, and skate some more.  Pretty good balance for a 2 year old!   He still talks about how he fell so many times, but he wants to go again soon!

Grandpa Miller

Grandpa is out of the hospital and now at a rehab center in crosby.  Hopefully he will get some strenght back and be able to go home soon.  Thanks for the thoughts and prayers!

Mojito

Our friend Kasey got an engagement ring and a puppy for Christmas from her fiance Andy  How exciting!  Well Cole is OBSESSED with this little dog named Mojito "Moe" for short.  He asks about the puppy all of the time.  Rylin liked the puppy too, but I think she was scaring it half to death because she keep squealing when she saw it or hugged it!  He is only 2 pounds, I was afraid the kids were going to squish him!  I have a feeling we will be going back to visit soon!

Bitter-sweet

The Sweet part: As you can see by my posts we have had a busy 6 Christmases! The kids are at such a fun age so Christmas/Santa was so exciting for them and they did so great opening presents and LOVE all of their new toys!  We enjoyed spending time with all of our families that we seem to see so little of during the year.  The bitter part: On the flip side my Grandpa Miller has been sick in the hospital at Brainard since last thursday.  He started out in the ICU, but has since moved to the telemetry floor because he was doing better.  He suffers from COPD (lung disease) and now has CHF (Congestive heart failure).  Through this we have seen that he is a fighter!, as we have always known he was :).  But he is still really weak from this incident.  Hopefully he will get some strength back and get out of the hospital in the next few days... time will tell.

Christmas #5 (SANTA)!!!!!

Mommy making us eat some sausage quick before opening presents!

Stuffing them in fast so I can get to the presents :)

Candy from Rylin's stocking that she would NOT let go of.

The doll house and the barn :)

So Cole was pretty sad because he was getting to his last present and he had not gotten the barn he wanted.  When he was opening his last gift and saw it was the barn he screamed "A barn, I am so happy!"  And that made my day :)

Beretta with her present from Grandma Sally!  Poor girl, we didn't get her any :(

Christmas # 4 (The Weegman side)
