The Weekend

Jason had Cole all night by himself on Thursday night while I worked. I guess it went well minus some wet PJ's. Cole slept until 5:30AM. When I got home at 8 I was wondering why Jason looked so tired. He said Cole would not go back to sleep, which he usually does in the morning. I asked if he tried laying him down and he said how could I lay him down he would not stop smiling. I guess Cole was happy to be up with Daddy. He is babbling so much more now and tries to have cooing conversations with us. He is turning into such a big boy. We weighted him at the cabin this weekend... he was 15 lbs! We had a nice weekend at the cabin. We tried to keep the mosquitoes away from Cole as best we could but he still managed to get a bug bite right in between his eyes.. poor guy. I did jump in the water with our friends Jeff Garcia's little 7 year old girl (Hannah)... it was still very cold. We did not water ski because it was so windy this weekend. Cole was a little backwards last night and did not go to bed until 11:30, but he (we) slept in until noon today! Which is great because I work tonight! Jason has Cole 3 nights this week, hopefully he is good for daddy!

We both survived!

We made it! The night was very busy so it went fast. I did cry a little when I left Cole :( Cole was in such a good mood when I dropped him off at my parents house, he was so smiley... that made it a little easier. Grandpa Chris seemed well rested this AM, but I guess it was Grandma Wendy who got up at 3AM to feed Cole his bottle... I have not talked to Grandma Wendy to see how she is doing today... hopefully not to sleepy :) Sounds like he was a pretty good boy... they must have worn him out because he napped form 8:30-11 this AM! Now hopefully my nightmares about returning back to work will go away!

We may have had a bear!?

The Big Day is Here!

I'm a big boy now!

Smile

I just love watching the ceiling fan... it's so much fun!

Naked baby :)

This is what Cole said when mommy told him she was going back to work.... haha.

Mommy goes back to work tonight! I am so sad to leave Cole, but I know he will be in good hands and probably enjoy his time away from mommy! He was sleeping through the night, but just this week he thinks 330 is a good time to get up. Hopefully Jason/my parents will enjoy getting up with him as much as I do as he is very smiley and talkative when he is up in the middle of the night :) and hopefully he will go back to bed just as good as my parents both work in the AM! We will see how it goes!

Another new friend

So we went to visit a friend of ours who had a baby and the new baby and Cole were wearing the same outfit... how cute. This baby was born on time, he was suppose to be just a few weeks younger than Cole, but now they are 2 1/2 months apart... as you can tell by their sizes! Llayton is just a cute little peanut!

My New Friend

So Cole attended his first wedding this weekend for my friend Randi and her new husband Joey! Cole was a really good boy. He had so much fun at the wedding he did not wake up until 8am Sunday morning (and that was after I had been in there 3 times to touch him and make sure he was still okay)! This is one of our friends babies Philip. Philip is so cute and so active! I am sure Cole will be that big before we know it. Philip had fun kissing Cole's head :)

Cole and Daddy

Last night Cole spent the evening with Daddy for the first time while Mommy was at a rehearsal/grooms dinner for her friend Randi's upcoming wedding. When I got home at 10:30PM the house was dark and everyone was in bed. I guess everything went well and Cole even got a bath! The question is what did Daddy feed Cole? He did not wake up until 6:15AM! I guess Daddy can put him to bed every night! Good test run for when Mommy goes back to work and is gone all night, sounds like Daddy will be just fine :)

Just for clarification, Lena is just a friends dog.... we did not get another dog :) Beretta and her allergy shots are about all we can handle right now... plus the baby!

Our other baby!

Here is Beretta on the left with her new friend Lena on the right. They are both such great dogs and LOVE to go for walks!

I have been smiling all of the time but Mommy is too slow with the camera. Here is the end of a smile I was giving to my Mommy's friend Tanya. Try again Mommy!

Crib Time

So when Cole first came home from the hospital he slept in a bassinet next to our bed. I loved having him close to me so I could see him whenever I wanted. At 2 months we decided to start putting him in his crib so he learns a bed time routine and such. The first night was really hard for me, I went in his room to check on him like a billion times before I went to bed :) The one thing that has helped so much is our video monitor. It is a baby monitor with a video also on the hand held thingy. It is sooo awesome! It makes me feel so much better about him being in his room and anytime I want I can look and see what he is doing! I know I say this a lot, but he is such a good baby. At bedtime we put him in his crib awake and he watches his mobile for a while and talks to the animals... it takes him anywhere from 5-30 minutes and he falls asleep on his own and sleeps for 6-7 hours depending on what time we put him to bed, eats, then goes back to bed for 3-4+ more hours. The sad part is I actually get a little excited for him to wake up during the night so I can see him because I miss him, pathetic I know! I really never knew you could love someone so much....

Isn't the video monitor cool? Thanks to Jason's friends for that baby advice!

Happy Birthday Tyson! We went to our cousin's birthday party yesterday, he is 3! Seems like just yesterday he was a baby, they grow too fast. I wish I would have took more pictures, there were lots of kids. Cole spent some quality time with great-grandma Shanna... He even gave her a few smiles!

On Saturday we had some severe weather, okay the sirens were going off for a tornado warning but the sun was shinning. We only ended up getting a few minutes of thunder, lightning and rain.... and I have always loved thunderstorms, but now that Cole is around I was actually a little worried for once. I even took him to the basement for a while until I knew the storm wasn't coming our direction. It is weird and wonderful to have a little life so dependent on you. I defiantly error on the side of caution with him, he is too precious.
