Boy was this an attention grabber. Everyone was commenting on Cole and how he was sleeping. We were shopping at arbor lakes, the OUTDOOR mall. I thought for sure the COLD would wake him up. Nope he just slept right through for almost an hour! And it was before lunch! He must have been really tired!

Sit-ups
So don't mind the crying baby in the background. Rylin has major separation anxiety issues, so when I ran upstairs to get the camera she freaked out...
So I was working out on the treadmill and I heard Cole sigh/grunting in rhythm. So I turned around and he had his hand behind his head and was doing sit ups on the weight bench. Every time he got to the top he grunted/sighed loudly... wonder who he got this from??? The video only gives you a small glimpse, but it was pretty funny when he was doing it. They really mimic everything! That is also why he has no clothes on... it's cold in the basement so I always start out with a long sleeve shirt on and tend to take it off while working out. Whenever I do that Cole thinks it's time to take his clothes off too. Hence why he is doing sit-ups in his onsie. Crazy boy!

ER Visit
Well we had our first ER visit on Sunday night. Surprisingly it wasn't for Cole! To make a long story short miss Rylin had a blood curdling screaming fit for over 2 hours! She was with my mom and dad as Jason and I were both working. First a little history: She usually sleeps from about 10pm until 7am straight through. Last week she woke up multiple times during the night, we just had to put in her pacifier and she was back to sleep, but not usual for her. Then she seamed a little extra fussy at my parents on sat and was up early sat and sun am for them. We thought maybe teething or her ears. I figured I would bring her to the Dr on Monday. She didn't have a fever or any other symptoms. Fast forward to screaming.... so Jason picks her up and brings her to Mercy ER, where I work. Of course by the time he gets there she is happier than a clam, but I still was worried about her ears so we checked her in. They were awesome, not sure if they knew I was working or if they were just that fast but we were in and out in 15 minutes! Faster than our Dr apts! The ER Dr was so nice and checked her out all over. Of course they couldn't find anything wrong with her... by this point she is laughing and giggling and entertaining everyone in the ER! Jason and I felt kind of stupid, but I was glad we brought her in. Very out of character for her to scream like that and of course the nurse side of me is thinking about every major complication she could have. So it was nice to get a clean bill of health and peace of mind. Here is the best part.... our discharge instructions were "How to care for a fussy baby!" haha. I didn't even know they had discharge instructions like that! They must get a lot of crabby babies in the ER! So then Rylin stopped up to my floor so I could show her off to my co-workers... that was kind of fun! Then Jason took her back to my mom and dad's and he went back to work. She slept till 6 and seems fine today. Weird. The kids are lucky to have such good grandparents to put up with their screaming fits! Stay home and enjoy the snow, the roads are terrible!

Dum... Dum... anyone?
Dum?
So Cole is obsessed with dum (gum). He wants it all of the time. He climbs into the higher cupboard looking for it, I have stopped buying it and he ate the last piece and threw the package away himself, but yet he still looks for it every day! He is very good with it. Chews it until we make him spit it out. He has occasionally swallowed it. Then he says "uh oh... wallow." It is pretty cute to watch him chew it.
Bad mommy moments while folding the laundry:
(this is a sign I should stop doing laundry!)
- when Rylin was about 2 months old she was in her pack n' play, her safe zone, well Cole crawled in and fell on top of her! Yes I thought he crushed every bone in her body... but she was fine!
- Again the other day while I was folding laundry I heard a boom and Cole was bawling/screaming. Like I have never heard him. I ran in the room and he had TIPPED over the Jumparoo... with Rylin IN IT! She was face down on the wood floor. She was whimpering a little, but it was Cole who was so upset. He had her by the armpits and was trying to pull her out while he was bawling. She was just fine, but he was pretty traumatized!
- Cole walked across the tile floor CARRYING Rylin in his arms.
Yup pretty sure that is a sign I should not be doing anymore laundry... or I do to much and should not be leaving my children unsupervised while I do it!
Potty Training Front:
So Cole has been in big boy underwear plenty of days. He poops in his pants and then runs to the bathroom and says "poop, poop, poop." Sorry buddy too late. He will tell you he has to go potty about 50% of the time. The other 50% he just goes and says "uh-oh." Even when we set a timer. Or he starts to go so he pulls down his pants and finishes peeing where ever he is! I know he is still young, and I would not even be trying big boy underwear except the fact that he cries and fights me when I go to put on his diaper. He wants his "Thomas train" underwear. Or basically any big boy underwear. I hate potty training, these are the moments I wish we had daycare... haha. So anyways I have just been letting him do it when he wants the big boy underwear, otherwise we stay in diapers and he still goes to the potty, but I don't have to worry about accidents... until yesterday. He pulled down his pants, pulled his "pee-pee" out the side of his onsie and diaper and peed all over the couch. Lord help me... if you want to be a big boy, then be a big boy and pee in the potty! What a little stinker! I just pray for patients... because it is so hard not to get mad when he has an accident, especially when I know he can do it!
Rolling, Grabbing, Talking
Rylin is still rolling all over the place. Sometimes she gets stuck on her tummy and gets so mad! She has become that grabby little baby, trying to grab everything! Makes it hard to hold her and eat, or write, or do anything! She still is super smiley! Laughs a lot, and LOVES her brother. Sometimes when she is crying I just ask Cole to go talk to her, works like charm every time! I think he likes her too! She is still sleeping good and Cold is finally back to sleeping until about 8, thank god! She is talking up a storm, always telling a story, funny because this is so different from Cole as a baby. And she loves her feet, constantly pulling her socks off, silly girl.
Life is good, I love these two precious peanuts!
Oh yeah and...

Updates
Wow is life busy and flying by! Our household seems to be so busy. Probably because Jason and I worked opposite shifts for the whole month of January except 2 days. I did get to be home with him this last weekend so that was nice!
Still have 2 herniated discs in my back I am dealing with. Mostly causes pain down my R leg. I will probably need surgery, but I am trying to avoid it as long as possible without causing permenent damage. We did get a treadmill so I can try to walk everyday to strengthen my back... yeah!
