Thumb Sucker !?

Cole was at my mom and dad's all weekend while Jason and I both worked. I stayed at their house all weekend so I could nurse Cole during the day while I slept. I am seriously considering moving in with my mom and dad :) They took excellent care of Cole and made me dinner every night before work. It was nice to be able to get some rest and try to enjoy Cole as much as you can working 3 twelve hour shifts. This was my first time working 3 days in a row, it went pretty well, thanks Mom and Dad!

Of course while Cole was at Grandma and Grandpa's he learned 3 new things!
1) to suck on this thumb (Yes the baby who will not take a pacifier finally found his thumb... not sure how I feel about this, but it is really cute!)
2) To hold a rattle and move it in front of his face.
3) He discovered control over his tongue... yes he is sticking it out all of the time!

I swear he seemed so much older from the 14 hours I was gone... so sad, he is growing so fast!!!!

Pics from Boating Last Week!
Big boy!

Riding on the boat with Hannah while mom water skis. Hannah was so good with Cole, she fed him and put him right to sleep. Can we say babysitter? To bad she is only 7!

4 Months!

Cole is 4 months old now! I will have to take some more pics of him... he is changing every day! His doctors apt went well... minus the 3 shots. He was 16lb 5oz (75% I thought he would be higher on the chart :) when you look at all his chub!) and 2 feet 1 inch (65%). His umbilical hernia seems to have disappeared! We will continue to watch. Otherwise our pediatrician was very impressed that he sleeps 10-12 hours every night. During the visit I had to hold his hands and head still while the Dr looked in Cole's mouth with a tongue depressor and light... the whole time the doctor was doing this Cole was laughing... ticklish tongue?!?! It was really cute. His next round of shots will be at 6 months!
Here is a picture from Cole's first golf outing from the weekend. He enjoyed riding in the golf cart with crazy Uncle Ryan. He also had his first boat ride.... hopefully cousin Andi will send us the picture since I did not have my camera.

Hope everyone is having a nice summer and enjoying the weather... it's going way too fast!

Re-Cap

My girlfriend Amber reading Cole a book. She is such a good teacher :) Wake up Cole "Auntie" Amber is reading to you.

Cole at the Slash Park sitting on a foutain.

He just loves the water (and it was cold water).

Cole's girlfriend Ragen.

Grandma Wendy and Cole

(P.S. This is the only picture I have of Cole with a grandparent... next time Cole sees his Grandparents (Peg, Chuck, Chris) we need pictures!)

Uncle Ryan is finally 21! Happy Birthday Ryan. Hope the next day was not too rough ;)

We went to Lakeville last weekend for a Curtis family gathering. Here is second cousins Nate and Lilly with cousin Ruby. Erin and Uncle Topher got a little wet from Lilly and the squirt gun. Good times!

Too Fast!

Hello Everyone!

Cole is getting so big (litterly check out the rolls)... and the time is just going too FAST! I really wish it would slow down. We have been out enjoying the weather as much as possible. And of course since I am back to work I have been napping more than usual. Jason was out of town for work last week... I think it was hard for him to be away from Cole for so long :( We managed and I wasn't even that scared by myself (most of you know I am a big scaredy cat when it comes to being home alone at night). I know my husband works nights so I should be getting over my fear, but I don't think that will every happen. When he is working at night I at least know that he is in the area if I ever need him (you know when the boogy man breaks in...ha), but when he is out of town I feel a little more scared b/c I can't just call him to come home or talk to me when I am scared. I am trying really hard to get over my fear so I do not pass it onto my child :) Anyways we did fine on our own and I didn't even have to bother the neighbors to take care of my scared self.

So when we finally got Internet it was dial up... b/c that is about all they have out here. It was SOOO SLOW. In April we upgraded to an AT&T wireless card. It was faster but still not great. The other day it was not working... long story short I had to reload the software onto our comp. When it loaded there was a picture of a 3G in an orange circle in the corner (a new super fast network AT&T has), so now we have super fast Internet and I am so excited about it. I can watch movies and download pics soooo fast! Yeah! That is about all we know... I hope you are all enjoying your summer! We are off to the cabin this weekend, yeah! Maybe I will even water ski for my first time this year... hope I can still get up ;)

Swimming!

Ruby (my niece), Cole, Amy (my friend) and I went swimming today. It was so much fun! Thanks Amy for coming along to help us out. We had a really good time. Both Ruby and Cole loved the water. Ruby was a prune by the time we left. She did not even take a break to eat a snack or drink some water. Needless to say I was a little tired after the pool... okay exhausted! Chasing a 2 year old around the pool for 2 hours is a lot of work!

Look at me! I love the pool!

Cole and Mommy :)

How cute! Cousins!

Aren't we a cute bunch?

Please Aunt Erin, hurry up and take the picture so I can get back to playing.

Amy and Ruby. Thanks again Amy for helping out :)

Cole loved the water! He did not cry once. I actually do believe babies can swim because he can float on his back all by himself... it was amazing! Maybe we have a future swimmer?

Here I come, watch out this slide shoots me 3 feet out into the pool :)

The start of our Journey... Ruby was ready for the pool! (Erin is not so good at posting pics in order, if you can't tell... haha)

Otherwise things are going well. Cole is growing so big every day! He is such a joy! We are sad not to be at the cabin this weekend for the fourth! Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend, watch some fireworks for us!
