The Belly :)

24 1/7 weeks today

So I got my shot this morning, had a Fetal Fibronectin test, had a cervical ultrasound, went to 2 different clinics all before 10Am. My cervix was 3.6cm... so basically the same as last time! Which is good news because I have been having more cramps and contractions, but my cervix doesn't seem to be making any change from them so hopefully I'll just keep cruising along. And the baby was head down today! They started doing FFN test. I had these test with Cole. They swab the cervix and send it for lab testing. A negative test is 95-98% accurate that you will not deliver in the next 2 weeks. My test this AM was negative! The perinatologist also said that if the test is negative you have less than a 1% chance of delivering before 28 weeks. All good news and very reassuring. They will recheck my cervix in a month. Oh yeah... and my belly really popped out in the last week or so... I will try to get a picture, but defiantly looking pregnant now. People think I am as big now as I was when I delivered Cole! Have a good weekend!

Potty Chair!

Cole went potty in his potty chair tonight! Probably wont happen again for at least a year :) I put him on their before his bath sometimes and usually he just sits there. Tonight I took him off and put him in the tub, when I looked back there was pee in the potty chair! I clapped and praised him, but might have missed the moment since I didn't even know he went! They grow so fast!

Memorial Day Weekend!

Over Memorial Day weekend we went up to the cabin with my BFF's from High school and their husbands/kids. It was so much fun to hang out with them for the weekend. 2 of the couples live in Iowa so we don't all have the chance to get together very often. The weather was beautiful and a few die hards even braved the cold water to wake board... of course I would have been out skiing if it was not on my list of activities I absolutely can not do while pregnant:) It was a lot of fun and makes me thankful to have such great friends!

Trying to capture his new "I am a little stinker" smile he gives us whenever he is being silly
or doing something he isn't suppose to be doing. I haven't been able to get a pic of it yet.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Chris!

So I am a little behind... last Thursday was Grandpa Chris's 50th B-day! Jason made us stake dinner and than we surprised him with a 3 hours limo ride with his friends. Cole even got to come along! He wasn't too sure what to think of the limo at first, but got used to it fast, especially because he could have his window rolled down!

Italian Dunkers!

So one of Jason's most liked meals is Italian dunkers. Like the kind you used to have in school with cheese bread and a meat sauce. Well I think Cole might be fond of them too. He ate 4 of them! I know he is a big eater, but geez. Can you tell he liked them... except for the puffy eye he got afterwards from all the sauce in his eye :) I think he will be the president of the clean plate club soon, he is going to eat us out of house and home! Not that I am complaining, I hear picky eaters are very difficult to feed. Glad he is a human garbage disposal just like his mom :)

New Bedroom for Cole!

Last weekend we moved Cole to his NEW bedroom. We painted it blue and khaki and had closet organizers installed. We also had some really cool shelves made. I really love his new room. I want to move in there! He seems to like it too, his first night in there he slept until 9:30am! We decided to move him to another room because we didn't find out what we were having so we left the other room yellow for the baby. The neighbors gave us a crib to borrow so now both of the rooms are set up and ready! The pictures are out of order so I will post explanations with them :)
New shelves... plus Cole's John Deere Tractor :)

Cole's room... we just had this dresser refinished,
It was my great=grandma's. There is a whole bedroom set
the kids will be able to share so we will be working on finishing
the rest of the furniture!

As most of you know I was not at all prepared for Cole, so I am feeling a little more prepared for this baby. I am going to be 23 weeks on Thursday! Big number, I am hoping to keep sailing by to at least the 30 week mark... keep your fingers crossed. Lots of big test next week to see if my body is predicting any early labor... I will be so happy if all the test are negative! I will keep you posted!

Back in Business!

Old Picture from sleding at the cabin during the winter... He is growing so fast!

So our computer crashed on Mothers Day... blah. But we finally got it fixed. It needed a new hard drive so we lost all of our info but I had most of it backed up, except all of our Itunes songs :( I am just happy it is up and running again! It was 1 month out of the warrenty so best buy fixed it for 80 bucks, I can't complain!

21 weeks tomorrow!

I had my 20 week ultrasound on Tuesday. Everything looked great. The baby looked good and was dating perfect for 20 weeks. My cervix was 3.5 cm in length... I lost a tinny bit more but the perinatologist (special Dr for high risk pregnancies) said he was very happy with my cervix. Of course the baby was breech!, but there is still plenty of time for it to turn and the way this kids moves it probably has already flipped over and back ten times by now :) It's little feet were kicking right on my cervix, which made it shrink even a little more, but nothing that they were concerned about. Silly baby.
Head on the left, body on the right. I don't like these pictures, makes it look like an alien! But the baby was not cooperating so we did not get any profile pictures.
Feet are crossed at the ankles... funny because that is how Cole's feet always were in his ultrasounds too!

20 6/7 weeks prego :)

I feel like my belly really grew the last week. I told Jason I just look really plump and fat, he said I just look pregnant now... I will trust him :)

Cole Monkey wearing his helmet while he rides his bikes around. This kid is accident prone, he has more bruises and scrapes on his forehead that I can count! Soon we are going to make him wear a helmet all of the time! Definatly has no fear... crazy kid!

In the police car. His new favorite ride. It even has a siren!

20+ weeks! Over half way!

We have had a very busy week. Every night last week we were setting up for a garage sale we had with the neighbors. It was on Friday and Saturday... Friday went very well! Saturday was very slow. If we do it again it will be on Thur and Fri... I hear Thur is a big day for garage sales! My goal was $200, I made $197.50... Glad I got close to my goal but mad I missed it by $2.50. It was fun to hang out with the neighbors for a few days, but we probably wont be having another sale for a little while!
Friday I also threw a baby shower, as you saw in my previous post, and had my 20 week Dr apt. Everything went well. Heart beat was 148. 20 week ultrasound on Tuesday. My Dr said I could stand to gain a few more pounds (I am already up 12!), but the way she looks at it, the more I gain now, the bigger the baby will be, and the better it will do if it happens to come early! But what if it doesn't come early? Than I will be stuck with this giant kid in my belly that will have to come out one way or another... haha:) We will see how big they estimate the baby to be on Tue... Cole always measured big even though I was loosing weight at the end with him. I will try to post some belly pics soon, although there still is not much there! Still getting a shot every week. Guess what the nurse said to me last week (it was a different nurse than the one who usually does my shot). She said "wow I have never used a needle this big to give a shot, have you seen the size of this thing?" I was like "No I have not looked but I perfer not too. The bruises on my butt are enough proof for me!" I am starting to dread the Friday shot more and more, but if it keeps the baby in longer I am all for it! It defiantly is one of the more painful shots I have ever gotten. The solution is thick like oil or glue and takes 5-10+ seconds to push it in... anyways sorry to gross you all out, only 16 shots left!
Cole like to play with old wrapping paper tubes, but he also gives them to Beretta, here are the 2 of them in trouble!

He is saying "Uh, oh" in this pic :)

Hanging out

Happy boy!
(as you can see he has a few more bruises on his forehead...
but the scab on his nose finally pealed off!) He is all boy!
Just a fearless climbing monkey!

Baby Shower!

On Friday afternoon some girls from work and I threw a baby shower for one of our co-workers Shelli and her new baby boy Isaac! It was a fun afternoon and a good turn out! The Mercy girls made the 20 mile truck to my house, it was fun to have co-workers over!

Cole Dancing

I have been trying to capture a video of Cole dancing. He dances whenever he hears music. He definatly did not get the skill to dance from his mom or dad as we are both horrible dancers! Today he was dancing with his arms above his head, I think he might get that from Grandpa Chris! Of course I was not fast enough to get it on video... here is a little clip of a few small moves of his!
