I am a little concerned this is how our kids view our life....
Cole dresses up in his Trooper stuff, packs a lunch/snack in a Ziploc bag and tells Rylin he is off to work. Even calls her Erin occasionally. He leaves the playroom and goes to fight "bad guys" and help people. Comes home from work. Announces to Rylin. "I am hone!" Rylin hands Cole the baby and says "I am off to work, I gotta go help the sick babies. Bye Jason" She leaves with her doctor stuff and her lunch. She comes home from work... announces she is back, takes the baby, and off to work Cole goes... the cycle repeats.
This is a pretty good picture of our lives.... some of the time ;)

Snow Tubbing!
Tubbing at Elk Creek with Cole and Ruby! We had a blast! The first hill was pretty intense, much faster than any of us were prepared for. Ruby screamed bloody murder the whole way down! I thought we would be going home after that, but Cole stood up and said "let's do that again!" and Ruby said "I loved that!" So up we went on the moving sidewalk to do it all over. The kids even went down the steep run once! And by the end they wouldn't let me hook tubes with them, but each wanted to go in their own lane by themselves! I am glad we squeezed in a winter activity before spring shows up and what a beautiful day it was to be on the sledding hill! :)

Welcome!
Welcome to our new... not so new... blog. Not much has changed, except for a place to sign up for e-mail notifications if you're interested :)
Sorry I haven't updated too much lately. Here's a quick rundown:
Cole had a fever for a few days after his surgery, but has been fine ever since. Back to bouncing off the walls like usual! He started writing his name! But still needs occasional prompting. He is working really hard on letters and numbers. Still loves school and playing with his friends. Is a FISH when it comes to swim lesson's! So fun to watch him actually swimming! Goes back in a few weeks to have his hearing re-screened. Hopefully he will have regained full hearing! Fingers crossed...
Rylin is just as sweet as ever. Loves to do and say what her brother does. She is working hard on coloring/painting. Starting to learn some colors and actually does pretty well with her alphabet and numbers. And can almost spell her name also! She loves to care for and sing songs to her babies. We still have occasional long tantrums, but they seem to be more spaced out... thank you! She has been a little extra lovey dovey lately... wanting Mommy to hold her lots :)
Both of the kids still desperately want a sibling. They both decided they would like a little brother. Every day they ask when God is going to give us a baby... Hopefully cousin "Max" coming soon will help satisfy their baby craving for a little while :)
I have been working hard on staying organized and getting things crossed of my "to do list" while still spending time with my darling kidlets and husband. Jason and I actually had a date night out to Jason Aldean's concert last night. It was awesome! I also enjoyed my first Juicy Lucy, delicious! Jason is working tonight so the kids and I have been hanging out. I don't usually lay with Rylin before bed, but tonight she put her little arm around my neck and said "mommy lay with me." So I did. And it was wonderful. I actually had tears in my eyes because it's all going much too fast. Even though I had a lot of things I wanted to accomplish tonight, I just laid there for a long time after she fell asleep, just staring at her beautiful little peaceful face.
Hopefully I will have some new pictures and videos of the kids to post soon, it's on my "to do list" as I realized I have been slacking lately in that department. Until then... Life is good :)

Fever of 103.9
Cole was doing great all day today. Went to preschool and all. Ate a good dinner and took a bath. After his bath he kinda went down hill... Laying flat on the couch, kinda out of it. I had felt his forehead after his bath, outta mom instinct and it was fine, even a little cool. So I was quite surprised to feel him so warm on the couch. 102.3 to be exact. Blinking light going off in my head about warning signs after surgery. So I pull out the hospital post surgery paperwork. Sure enough, says to call dr with any temp over 101. Call dr... Says to give ibuprofen on top of the Tylenol he already had. Wait 30 mins, recheck, and head to the ER if not lower. Well what do ya bet? Repeat temp 103.9! Off to children's ER we went. Waited for-ev-er! Finally got seen. Drew blood and took x-ray. All normal. Sooo it looks to be viral and a coincidence that he had his surgery yesterday. Poor monkey boy looked pretty miserable. We just got home at 1:30 am. Temp is still 102. Hopefully some good rest will help him to feel better in the am! Good night! (and hopefully it will be!)

Feeling a little better...
Look at the awesome blanket they gave Cole! How perfect for him. He is starting to feel better. Hopefully we will be outta here before tomorrow ;)
He's outta surgery. A little miserable. Just threw up all over and says he has lots of pain. Hard to see him like this. Hopefully he will feel better soon. His adenoids were blocking 80% of his airway! Good thing they came out. So now he will just have to learn to breath out of his nose again and hopefully his hearing will improve! :)
All checked in. Surgery soon. Say some prayers :) PS yes he has a giant scrape on his face, he had a fight with the pavement. The pavement won :(

Baby Showers!
Over the weekend we had 2 baby showers at our house! I am starting to love hosting so much I almost look forward to having people over! :) It was a great time and everything turned out very well (except for the fact I forgot to light all of the candles I so nicely laid out on all of the tables for the Sunday shower, whoops)! On Saturday my high school girl friends and I hosted a shower for our friend Tanya and her adorable baby Elsie! I hope Mel doesn't mind I stole the picture from her blog because I didn't get my camera out the whole weekend :( Thanks Mel! So below are the pictures of Elsie and the high school gang. On Sunday I hosted a shower for my sister-in-law Melanie and her baby boy "Max" due in the end of March. Max is only his nickname :) Thanks to Gramma Peg for bringing delicious blue cupcakes. Such a fun enjoyable weekend. I just LOVE babies. And I look forward to the babies who will be entering the world this spring! Yeah!!!!
